Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Casa Lienzo application portal. By submitting an application or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION
By applying to the Casa Lienzo residency, you represent that you are at least 21 years of age and that all information provided—including your portfolio, CV, and social media handles—is accurate and truthful. Any discovery of fraudulent information may result in immediate disqualification from the selection process.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Your Content: You retain full ownership and copyright of all artistic works submitted in your portfolio. By submitting an application, you grant Casa Lienzo a limited, non-exclusive license to review and display your work internally for the sole purpose of the selection process.
Our Content: All branding, logos, text, and designs on casalienzo.com and its sub-domains are the property of Casa Lienzo and may not be used without prior written consent.
At this time, the business operates under a self-employment structure and is in the process of formal registration. All intellectual property, content, materials, branding, and related assets are owned and managed by the service provider. Once the organization is formally registered as a foundation, ownership and governance will be updated accordingly in compliance with applicable laws. Until then, all rights remain fully protected under this structure.
3. RESIDENCY SELECTION PROCESS
No Guarantee: Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the residency program.
Decisions: Selection decisions are made by our curatorial team and are final. Casa Lienzo is not required to provide specific feedback on applications that are not shortlisted.
Communications: You agree to receive automated communications regarding your application status. You may opt out of marketing emails, but essential transactional emails regarding your application will still be sent.
4. FEES AND PAYMENTS
The application process itself is Free. If accepted into the residency, specific program fees, deposit requirements, and payment schedules will be outlined in a separate Residency Agreement. These Terms of Service govern only the application and website usage phase.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Casa Lienzo shall not be liable for any technical issues, data loss, or interruptions in the application process caused by third-party services (such as internet providers or CRM hosting). We provide the application portal on an "as is" basis.
6. CONDUCT
Applicants agree during their stay to interact with Casa Lienzo staff and other artists with professionalism. Harassment, hate speech, or defamatory behavior during the application or interview process will result in an immediate permanent ban from all current and future Casa Lienzo programs.
7. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Mexico City.
8. CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
